upgrading

after getting wildblue in january, this is my 3rd time being fap'd. i upgraded once, after the first time, and am contemplating it again but i wonder if its even any use? we dont download much of anything or watch youtube hardly at all , so i dont see how they claim that only 3 or 4 percent of customers get fap'd. do any of you have the highest package and is it worth it? are you able to do all you want on the internet and not be bandwidth misers?

Pro Pack FAP is 17 GB and allows ~550 MB per day. In two years my max was ~33%

do you basically do anything you want to or do you have to conserve?

I am by nature conservative and do not feel constrained by WB's FAP.

The basic answer is you can do anything you want as long as the average is not > 550 MB/Day.

If you do 1100 today that means you better abstain for a day.

Are you over on download or upload? Check your PC for P2P and viruses.
Another known cause of excessive fapping is KIDS! don't know if you have children in the house, but check with them if you do. (or if they come home on holidays/vacations, etc)

WBs FAP was totally wacked!

I would get close but never got fapped...(pro pack)...I did have to restrain myself. The idea behind broadband is not restrictions...it loses all meaning. I have plenty of devices that could utilize high speed (xbox, hd dvr...) and I was really unable to full use their service. I switched to a WISP that had 128 u/d and noticed instantly that I was able to surf better and faster as well as play xbox live. I can still watch those youtubes but I just have top let them load a little longer. True broadband should not put limits on you...I would love to increase my speed, but it works for what I need right now...oh and it $25/month. That beats $85 any day.

Do what the other members suggest and check for viruses(should be doing that anyway) and keep an eye out on your usage...check it daily at the same time and have a mental not of what YOU did on the pc the day before. Also make sure your router is secure...don't need your neighbors using your bandwidth up.

Yeah. My youngest son was visiting last weekend and downloaded 6GB one evening. He's used to being on cable. Shot me up to 88% and got a warning from WB. I have to watch real careful for the next 30 days.
