Something has changed. FAP chart is auto-updating now

Something has changed on the NRTC admintool webpage. Since January 24, my FAP chart has been updated daily. I haven't visted the site in ages (because I have Fapzilla and Pulse). But today I was on my Linux box which has neither, so I decided to check the admintool. This is a big improvement, if it sticks!

It could be mere coincidence, but it didn't start auto-updating until the 24th, which is the same day that I went over 75% of my FAP limit.

I think NRTC automatically checks your FAP meter once per day whenever you are over 70% or 80% of your usage. It seems to follow that rule on mine.

Automatically accessing the FAP meter for all customers every day would probably overload their servers. They would have to buy more which is not going to happen in these economic times.

True. I'd settle for weekly updates.

Maybe I'm missing something here but my usage as listed on the NRTC admin. chart has been updated daily for at least the last couple of years. I check it every morning and write my usage level on a chart. It is constantly changing from day to day with up and down usage as one would expect on a day to day reading. I do notice that sometimes there will be 1 or 2 days at the end of the month that it does not change but then at the start of the next month it picks up righ where it left off almost as if usage wasn't counted for a day or two.

While I'm here posting I may as well mention that my speed stays level at +5%/-5% of advertised levels. I've been with WB for just under 3 years with no problems at all on beam 17. I credit my good service to the excellent install by the installers for MidWisconsin DBS. The installers only live a few miles from me here in central Wisconsin and it showed right away that they take pride in their work.

Since you are logging into the site daily to check your usage, then your chart won't have gaps. That's because the chart is updated each time you login. If you skip a day, then that day's usage won't be shown on the chart. Try skipping a day, and you'll see what I mean.

I skip weeks at a time, so the chart is useless to me. Here is what mine looks like now:

Wow!!! That is great. Many times mine runs 20% UNDER advertised. Rarely OVER.

Boo
